Crop Care, the Brazilian holding company controlled by Lavoro Limited, recorded a net revenue of BRL 749.2 million in fiscal year 2024, from July 2023 to June 2024, which corresponds to a growth of 18% compared to the same period last year. The company is recognized as one of the largest players in the Brazilian market in the biological inputs, adjuvants and specialties segments.

In 4Q24, Crop Care’s net revenue grew 97%, reaching BRL 103.9 million. “Crop Care’s strong performance in 4Q24 was highlighted by the performance of UnionAgro, with a 46% increase in revenue in the quarter, and Perterra,” explains Gustavo Modenesi, vice-president of Crop Care, referring to the data provided in the financial results announcement made by the Lavoro Group on October 31, 2024
Currently, the products of the companies that make up the Crop Care platform are marketed in Brazil, with prospects for expansion into Colombia and Ecuador. To increase farmers’ access to sustainable and profitable solutions , the holding company has been investing in factory expansions and strengthening the portfolios of its subsidiaries.
“Leveraging our production capacity has always been on our list of priorities. We believe that the future of agriculture lies in the development of safe technologies that respect the environmental agenda and legislation, and for this it is necessary to have a robust, long-term business plan, which prioritizes, above all, projects related to research and development,” says the executive.
The holding company is investing around BRL 100 million in the expansion and modernization of its manufacturing complex located in Itápolis, in the countryside of São Paulo, which will be the largest plant dedicated to bio-inputs in Brazil by 2025. With this expansion, the goal is to more than double the company’s production capacity, guaranteeing innovation and the launch of new products for the next production cycles.

Pioneering: training for employees, customers, distributors and
In October 2022, Crop Care, through Agrobiológica Sustentabilidade, launched OnFarm Service, a platform of services and technical assistance that offers a differentiated portfolio for rural producers, helping them to achieve better production performance through the use of biological products produced on the farm for their own use, i.e. on farm.
Another service offered is the OnFarm College, which provides technical training for Agrobiológica’s employees, customers, distributors and other partners. “Our market is extremely competitive and investing in training that includes all our stakeholders in the operation is essential,” says the vice-president of Crop Care.
The platform also has other services, such as OnFarm Line, a range of products and technologies offered to customers; OnFarm Insights, which brings together researchers and customers throughout the year to discuss advances in the biological products sector; and OnFarm Full Fix, which consists of a team of technicians dedicated exclusively to maintaining the biofactories set up on rural properties.
